Days 7-8 (August 24-25, 2015)

At late afternoon we turned wheels to the North (about 120 miles drive) and stayed overnight in Reno. Plan was just to relax there little and continue back to the road. We just walked around on the streets in Reno and reviewed the nearest casinos.

It was easy to see that locals only stayed on the streets (night workers) and about all tourists inside hotels/casinos. Some Hotel-Casino complexes have been interconnected that actually never need to go outside. For us it made some challenges to orientate inside the buildings. Good (funny) example was when we tried to go back to our hotel room and wondered inside elevator ”where is button to floor 28? ” Highest we found was floor 15. After couple seconds we jumped out back to lobby and saw that we are in a wrong hotel.

Generally I would say, Reno is ok, but like a little sister of Vegas. Everything about same (even some same hotel names) but something is missing, difficult to explain more. Breakfast in our hotel was better than I’ve ever had. For Americans they had one hectare area for dessert but they had also large area for fruits, great salad bar and so much more. It was like a great lunch or dinner for me! And just 9,99$. I think, it’s one of casinos strategy to serve good food with reasonable price to keep all customers inside the resort.

In the next morning (Aug. 25) we had bit longer drive to Idaho Falls (for one night again) and can’t wait (as child) to get to Yellowstone National Park.
