September 13, 2015 (Day 28)
First morning in L.A. we decided to do the last sport action in our U.S. trip. After that lazy days were waiting for…..as beaches, slow cruising on the streets, restaurants, freak-watching (yes, there are a lot in L.A.), lie on sofa (one sofa per person was certainly available in our apartment!), etc.
There are three options to hike to Hollywood sign (by car you cannot go). We selected the hardest (I believe it is) version. It’s not so long, only 5km (3mi) but it’s steep, with considerably elevation gain and the terrain is rugged. Anyhow, in my opinion, it’s not too hard for most of us. Only I remind to take some bottles of water. And it’s not only Hollywood Sign, there are so nice views (360 degr) around L.A.
There are huge space for car parking on Lake Hollywood Dr. To your navigator you can add the address: ”3052 Lake Hollywood Dr”. Starting point is near there. I think it’s easy to find.
Lone Tree (Lone Pine, The Tree of Life, plus many other given names) looks lone behind
Look at, Winery on the Hollywood hills!
