August 19, 2015 (Day 1)

Finally in L.A.

Flights were ok but oversea flights are hard of course. They kept the schedule, not any problems with connection and we received our luggage without any lost. Arrival ”ceremonies” were as massive as they usually are at US entrances with long queues, etc…

…but Hannu I remember you told me ”your reservation is Challenger but let’s see what kind of family car you’ll receive”. Right – it’s not a toxic orange and it’s not the Challenger. On the other hand, it’s still from Adrenaline collection even it’s not what we requested to have. It’s Chevy Camaro SS Convertible. I think, you (Hannu) are about the one and only person who could understand us ”what’s wrong with Chevy Camaro?” Anyhow, we don’t have ”Challenger” now but we have a ”Challenge” …how to avoid skin burnings during those 4 weeks? ;=))

Anyhow, we are in a very positive mind and first touch with Camaro was very promising. Luistoneston poisto -kytkinkin löytyi (huom. kirjoitettu tietoisesti suomeksi, ettei Herra Hertz vaan heräisi).

Nice Hertz manager also gave a discount of USD 250 for us after she realized how much Dodge Challenger means for us. She was so kind. I’m just thinking if I Could stay there when she arrived home and explained her highlights of the day: ”There were some twins from Finland(????) and they claimed so much in detail how big fans of Dodge Challenger they are that I almost cried because we didn’t find any for them.” – Anyhow, she was really empathic – or – she was a good Hollywood actor ;=))

We lost so much time today that we only checked-in at the hotel, get to TacoBell where we also made some new plans and went straight back to the hotel. So, real trip will be only kicked to move on tomorrow.
